Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manages all areas of property management of the Hamilton Area YMCA and has knowledge of the following: Electrical, Plumbing, Vehicle Preventative Maintenance, Custodial Functions, Fire Safety Codes and Regulations, Pools, and Lawn Care and Maintenance.
  • Supervises custodial and grounds staff
  • Completes routine checks of the property to make sure that staff maintains all areas in proper working order
  • Conducts inspections of all facilities to ensure the execution of maintenance, custodial, safety, and risk management programs
  • Maintains Branch mechanical systems and lawn care equipment
  • Implements lawn care treatment plan, striping, and field layout
  • Ensures that the boilers, pools, fire safety equipment, plumbing fixtures, electrical units, gas, ventilation, and HVAC systems are all in good working condition
  • Orders maintenance supplies, parts, and housekeeping supplies when needed
  • Documents and maintains preventative maintenance log and repair calls
Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma required
  • Professional training in building maintenance
  • Must have two (2) years experience with building operations and maintenance
  • Must have one (1) or more years supervisory experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
