Below are highlights for our upcoming Summer session
NEW! Dance Mix Up (ages 5 - 10)
A variety of dance styles will be introduced with attention to exercises, skills and choreography.
NEW! Little Illustrators (ages 5 - 8)
Children will learn to recognize popular children’s book illustrators, who will inspire their own art work. Each week’s projects will highlight different illustrators & their medium – from collage to cut paper to paint and more! We will even make our own book!
NEW! Xtreme Sports (ages 9 - 13)
A combination class that encourages young children to experiment with crazy sports including kickball, dodgeball and allow children time to play in the XRKade!
NEW! Specialty Camps at the JKR Branch
Gymnastics and Cheerleading Camp (ages 6 – 12)
Register now for our new and exciting Gymnastics and Cheerleading Camp! This camp will be a fun-filled week of instruction of gymnastic and cheerleading skills for all levels. Learn cartwheels, backbends and back handsprings. Your child will have instructional rotations on Bars, Beam, Floor and Trampoline. Gymnastics builds self-esteem, flexibility, self-discipline, strengthens muscles and teaches life skills. Campers will also participate in cheerleading throughout the week. The campers will learn a variety of cheers, chants, stunts and dance routines formatted for beginning to intermediate level cheerleaders. The campers will also learn various tumbling skills associated with cheerleading. On Friday, campers will perform for family and friends. Other activities may include games, outdoor playtime, skits and swimming. The camp has limited space available. Dial ext. 21104 or ext. 121

XRKade Camp (ages 9 - 12)
This fun new camp will allow campers to have access to the facility through structured activities during the day. Campers will spend their time competing in challenges and problem solving games in the XRKade. There will also participate in traditional camp activities both in the gym and outside. Campers will also have a scheduled pool time each day. Dial ext. 21103

Birthday Parties at the YMCA!
The Hamilton Area YMCA offers exciting birthday parties for children of all ages! Parties are offered at the JKR Branch, Sawmill Branch and the Cranbrook Building. Please contact Rebecca Harcar at extension 121 for parties at the JKR Branch, Ryan Young at extension 21103 for parties at the Sawmill Branch or Lorraine Hendrick at extension 127 for parties at the Cranbrook building.
FANTASTIC PARTIES at the JKR & Sawmill Branch
Using our FANTASTIC PARTY package, your child’s party will include the gym or the pool (splash party only) and the party area for up to 25 people and are 2 hours long. Party invitations and a YMCA Birthday T-shirt for the Birthday child are included.

AWESOME PARTIES at the JKR & Sawmill Branch
Available for gym or pool parties. Includes use of gym for the first hour and use of the party room/area for the second hour. A YMCA party member will be available during your scheduled gym time (JKR only).
XRKade Parties at the JKR Branch
The XRKade includes 8 DDR stations, 4 snow board simulation games, 4 Motorcycle racing games, Sports Simulation game, Boxing simulation games, Nintendo Wii systems and 3 kick. All parties are FANTASTIC Party Options only, which includes invitations, organized activities, an activities leader and use of the party area. All parties include up to 15 guests. All guests and participants must be at least 9 years old to enter the XRKade and must complete a 15 minute orientation prior to using the games in the XRKade (included in the party time).

PRESCHOOL THEMED PARTIES at the Cranbrook Building
(ages 1 - 5)
The Hamilton Area YMCA now offers fun, exciting birthday parties for your Preschooler. Party Package includes a decorated themed party area, balloons, face painting or tattoos and paper goods for up to 16 children. A visit from Buddy the Birthday Bear will include songs, games and a special birthday t-shirt for the birthday boy or girl. Parties are 1 ˝ hours long and held in the Cranbrook Building on the JKR Campus. Contact Lorraine Hendrick at extension 127 for additional information.

Teen Party Package (age 13+)
The Sawmill Branch is the perfect place for Sweet Sixteen Parties, Graduations and other important teen milestones. This package includes the use of the gym with tables and chairs for 3 hours. Event staff will be on hand to help maintain a safe environment.
In addition the party must keep a 10 to 1 teen to adult ratio (not including event staff).
• $300.00 for 50 teens ($12.00 for each additional teen; we must have the final number 10 days before the party date)
• Parties can be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.
• Party add-ons: (for this package only): DJ lights $100 per event
Membership type is based on the birthday child’s membership.
