Hamilton Area YMCA

Pre-K/School Age Care

Every day, hundreds of children from early learners to school-age are in the care of our YMCA. It is a rewarding demonstration of trust by their parents. As the largest and leading provider of childcare in the Hamilton area, the Y knows that earning this trust requires caring, trained staff and a commitment to excellence in service and administration.

This is why we participate in quality initiative programs which promote the ongoing development of safe, affordable and accessible educational programs to give your children the best start in life. For example, the Hamilton Area YMCA has recently adopted The Y’s Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards for Early Childhood and Afterschool Programs as part of the Partnership for a Healthier America, which seeks to ensure that more children have access to healthy food and regular physical activity.

Our Early Childhood programs are designed to serve children ages 3 - 5, offering full and partial day programs. The School Age Care program serves children ages 5 - 12 and offers full and partial week options for before and after school care.

The Y is committed to working with families to create a support system for healthy development. Our childcare programs do more than just care for children; they provide an opportunity for kids to learn, create, play, gain confidence and grow.
