Hamilton Area YMCA

TAKE NOTICE that the Hamilton Area YMCA has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Green Acres Program, proposing to transfer ownership of parkland from the Hamilton Area YMCA to a local unit/governmental entity or Non Profit. The parkland to be transferred is known as The Hamilton Area YMCA Sawmill Branch, 185 Sawmill Road, Hamilton NJ.  The property is designated for tax purposes as Block 2730, Lot 14.01 and consists of 51.35 acres +/-.

The property is subject to Green Acres restrictions because the County of Mercer purchased a conservation easement on the property from the Hamilton Area YMCA using Green Acres funds.  The Green Acres restrictions and the County conservation easement, which are perpetual, will remain on the parkland if conveyed to a local unit/governmental entity or Non Profit.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.5(a)3, a hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held via Zoom Meeting on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
