Sawmill Member Services Representative

As a Member Service Representative at the Hamilton Area YMCA you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment and delivering excellent customer service to all members and guests. 

Essential functions of the Membership Representative position include: build and maintain positive relationships with members and Y community; follow Sawmill Branch procedures for opening/closing the building; grant facility access to members, staff and guests with a focus on safety guidelines and security; conduct facility tours for prospective new members and invite potential members to join the Y; understand and share membership and program information; answer member inquiries and phone calls, and connect to the appropriate staff person, and accurately complete program registrations, reservations, and member transactions, among other responsibilities. 

This is a part-time position that may include evening and weekend hours and opening/closing shifts. The membership representative provides a quality experience focused on the YMCA core values: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Qualifications 

  • Must have High School diploma 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems (Will train) 
  • Must have the exceptional communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills 

Certifications 

Ability to obtain AED, CPR and First Aid Certifications within three (3) months of hire 

Job Type: Part-time 

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
