BASE (Before & After School Enrichment)

Every day, hundreds of children from early learners to school-age are in the care of our YMCA. It is a rewarding demonstration of trust by their parents. As the largest and leading provider of childcare in the Hamilton area, the Y knows that earning this trust requires caring, trained staff and a commitment to excellence in service and administration.

This is why we participate in quality initiative programs which promote the ongoing development of safe, affordable and accessible educational programs to give your children the best start in life. For example, Afterschool Programs as part of the Partnership for a Healthier America, which seeks to ensure that more children have access to healthy food and regular physical activity.

The School Age Care program serves children ages 5 - 12 and offers full and partial week options for before and after school care.

The Y is committed to working with families to create a support system for healthy development. Our childcare programs do more than just care for children; they provide an opportunity for kids to learn, create, play, gain confidence and grow.

Consumer Product Safety List
As required by the State of New Jersey as licensed Childcare programs, we are required to review, at least annually, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) unsafe children's product list, ensure that items on the list are not at the center, and make the list accessible to staff and parents and/or provide parents with the CPSC website.

Registration

All participants must be registered by Friday, August 17 to start on the first day of school. Families registering for BASE that would like to use Bank Draft as payment must have the Bank Draft form turned in no later than Wednesday, August 1 for the September draft.

Registration must be completed in person in the Childcare Administrative Office located in the Cranbrook Building, which is adjacent to JKR. 

Please note that some programs to have a waitlist. Please call the Childcare office prior to registering to see if there is space at your child's school.

Bank drafts take 30 days to prenote, if you do not register for Bank Draft within 30 days of the first draft. The first month's tuition must be paid in full and then the draft will commence for the following months.

Reminder: tuition payments for BASE are due by the 1st day of the month of service. Payments can be made online by clicking here.

Our programs provide a safe, fun, supervised environment both before and after school. Our responsible, caring staff holds certifications in CPR, first aid and child abuse prevention, and is committed to understanding and meeting the individual needs of our families. This state-licensed program runs every day Hamilton Township schools are in session, from 7:30 a.m. until school begins, and after school until 5:50 p.m.

The program includes:

  • Homework support
  • The Healthy U program
  • Nutritious snacks
  • Community service projects
Program sites: Alexander, Kisthardt, Kuser, Langtree, McGalliard, Mercerville, Morgan, Robinson, Sayen, Sunnybrae, University Heights, Yardville and Yardville Heights.

Each child enrolled in a Before or After School Program will receive a FREE Hamilton Area YMCA Program Membership.

How To Make Web Payment

Reminder: monthly tuition payments are due by the 1st of the month prior to service. Payments received after the 1st will incur a $10 late fee per child per program. Late fees will be reflected on your next month's balance. For those interested in making your monthly tuition payments online using a credit or debit card, you can do so beginning on the 20th of the prior month.

To make an online payment:
  1. For your first visit, use your e-mail and the password will be the child's initials and date of birth. Example: for John Doe born on 02/01/68, the password would be JD020168.
  2. Once logged in to your child's name, click the "Programs/Balances" tab.
  3. Follow the directions to make your online payment.
To receive your receipt by e-mail, please be sure to update your e-mail address.
