Hamilton Area YMCA

Essential Personnel Childcare

During this time of community need, the Hamilton Area YMCA will be offering a full day child care program at two locations for those who need us most, such as emergency medical services, police, fire, and hospital employees.  We want to make sure the medical professionals in our community have a safe place for their children to stay as they care for a growing number of our loved ones during this difficult time.

The safety and well-being of children in our care and staff are our top priority.  We have health protocols in place to ensure the highest level of safety.  Care will be provided in a state licensed program with qualified, trained Child Care Providers.

BASE (Before & After School Enrichment)

Every day, hundreds of children from early learners to school-age are in the care of our YMCA. It is a rewarding demonstration of trust by their parents. As the largest and leading provider of childcare in the Hamilton area, the Y knows that earning this trust requires caring, trained staff and a commitment to excellence in service and administration.

This is why we participate in quality initiative programs which promote the ongoing development of safe, affordable and accessible educational programs to give your children the best start in life. For example, Afterschool Programs as part of the Partnership for a Healthier America, which seeks to ensure that more children have access to healthy food and regular physical activity.

The School Age Care program serves children ages 5 - 12 and offers full and partial week options for before and after school care.

The Y is committed to working with families to create a support system for healthy development. Our childcare programs do more than just care for children; they provide an opportunity for kids to learn, create, play, gain confidence and grow.
