Hamilton Area YMCA

SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Below are a few helpful things to keep in mind regarding face coverings to help you make the most of your visit to the Y:

  • We will continue enhanced cleaning

  • We will continue health screenings for staff

  • We will not ask for proof of vaccination status.

  • No matter your vaccination status, please refrain from coming to the Y when not feeling well.

  • Children ages 2-11 will be required to wear a mask when visiting the Y.

  • If you are unvaccinated or mid-vaccine, we strongly encourage you to continue to wear your cloth face covering while inside the YMCA to protect those who remain at risk.

  • At this time, these changes do not apply to our licensed child care centers, before and after school programs, and summer camps. We will continue to follow State and local Health Department guidelines still in place, including mask requirements. We will continue to inform members of any changes as they occur.

  • If you are immunocompromised, it is recommended that you continue wearing your cloth face coverings in all public settings, including the YMCA.

  • And if you simply prefer to continue to wear your face covering inside the YMCA as an extra precaution, we will always respect your personal choice.

We ask that all members demonstrate the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility toward each other and our dedicated staff team.

And as our Y continues to evolve its practices in compliance with guidelines set forth by State and local Department of Health, we encourage all our members to practice health and safety measures that make you most comfortable.

Fully Vaccinated is Defined as:

  • 2 weeks after the 2nd dose in a 2-dose series (i.e., Pfizer or Moderna), or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine (i.e., Johnson & Johnson)
