Hamilton Area YMCA

Welcome David Kisselback, our new CEO

If you see a new face in the JKR Branch, it might just be our new CEO David Kisselback!

David comes to us from the Silver Bay YMCA on Lake George in New York and brings with him 25 years of executive experience within the YMCA movement. Before Silver Bay, David was the CEO of the Glens Falls Family YMCA, also in New York, and he was the Vice President of Operations at the Community YMCA in Red Bank, NJ.

During his time at Silver Bay, David led an organization with a $7.9 million annual budget and nearly 20,000 members. He also raised over $18 million in annual and capital support.

“David is bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience,” said Board Chair John Cimino. “When you combine his talents and abilities with the passion of our staff and the commitment of our members and volunteers, the sky is the limit for our YMCA.”

David says that our Y felt like home from his very first visit. “It was clear to me that the members of this Y, along with the board, staff and volunteers, are very committed to their community,” he said. “I am looking forward to seeing our mission in action every day.”

Though he grew up in New York, New Jersey does have a part to play in David’s story. As a child, he used to vacation on the Jersey Shore. He has relocated to the area, and he looks forward to truly becoming a part of our community.

“There is enormous potential to partner with other civic and community organizations, as well as with our neighboring YMCAs, to expand our programs and our reach,” he said. “I am looking forward to tapping that potential.”

David is a graduate of The College of St. Rose with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. He is a member of the Board of Associates of his alma mater and a Past President of the Alumni Association National Board of Directors.

So, if you see him in the Wellness Center in JKR or out on the fields at Sawmill, stop him and say “hello!”

Welcome him to our Y family!
